The on going theme that I was trying to show in my selfie is water and how water can change or blur the appearance of things from what they truly are. Thats also why I choses to have everything devoid of color, helping give it this appearance of it being more truthful in a weird sort of way.
Each layer having it's own different meaning; layer 1, the wooden memoir that has been fogged over is the literal meaning of my whole selfie; water blurs the truth(reflection) of yourself/objects.
Second layer- is my selfie itself. I suppose there is no "real" meaning behind my selfie besides the fact that it too is coved in water and black in white.
Third layer- I used the photograph of my hair to cover my lips to show how girls are tough that the way they look is more important then what's inside or what you have to say.
Forth layer- The plant is to show my love for the earth/plants, ect.
Final layer- the final layer is water drops. I photographed a close up picture of water drops on a wall and then covered it over the whole picture with them to bring home the point I was trying to make. Not to mention I like water too.
